Hi, I'm Dr. Barbara Maddoux, RN, DOM, IFMCP

As a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and the founder of NorthPointe Medicine, a Registered Nurse and Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist (for 40 years), my unique approach to evaluating and healing patients starts by looking through “three different lenses”: Western, Oriental, and Functional Medicine. 

You have just met a Functional Medicine Physician with true heart.  

Guiding and supporting people to heal is not simply my vocation, it is the heart of who I truly am.  

This inclusive, integrative perspective allows me to guide, support and heal my patients in an entirely unique manner. 

My hands-on experience over the last 50 years “at the bedside” as a Critical Care Nurse, a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, and a Functional Medicine Physician has filled me with understanding and intuitive, healing wisdom.
